Where the name began
Why Cedars?
Cedars is named for the celebrated cedar trees of Lebanon, an enduring emblem found in the country’s history and on its flag.
That name carried the restaurant’s first chapter: a Lebanese deli opened in 1974. In the years that followed, Indian and Continental cooking, including Pakistani specialties, became part of the menu and shaped the distinctive table Seattle knows today.

Hospitality first
Make every guest feel expected.
For more than forty years and across two generations, the Cedars family has worked toward the same feeling: that every visitor is welcomed as a guest in a family friend’s home.
That promise reaches beyond the dining room. It guides the way Cedars prepares food for office lunches, campus gatherings, weddings, and private celebrations.
